Revolutions DVD May See Change

20 Apr, 2004 By: Jessica Wolf

The Matrix Revolutions disc that streeted April 6 has already become something of a collector's edition for hard-core Matrix fans because of a potential change in the content of one of the DVD extras.

In the disc's 10-minute behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Matrix massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), representatives from game publisher Ubisoft were interviewed about the groundbreaking game, which is due this fall. But about a month ago, Ubisoft and Warner Bros. ended their partnership to produce and distribute the game software. Instead, Warner's Interactive Entertainment division will publish the game.

Reports on several DVD and gamer Web sites expect Warner Home Video to edit the game featurette on the Revolutions disc to remove Ubisoft representatives from any future pressings of the disc.

WHV representatives declined comment.
