Pearl Harbor has sold 7 million units and $130 million in sales in its first week of availability, says Robert Chapek, President of Buena Vista Home Entertainment.

The studio claims Pearl Harbor's week one DVD performance is the best debut week in DVD sales of all time and a landmark event for the home entertainment industry. ``We're thrilled to see the overwhelming response to Pearl Harbor on DVD,'' says Disney chairman and c.e.o. Michael D. Eisner. ``We've created the very best DVD experience for our customers in terms of sight, sound and bonus features. We are proud of Pearl Harbor and the way that audiences have brought the film into their homes.''
