Intertainer To Visit Sesame Street

Broadband video-on-demand (VOD) provider Intertaine has struck a deal to add "Sesame Street" children's programs to its VOD offerings.

Under the deal with Sesame Workshop. Intertainer will distribute the programs on both

its cable and Internet Protocol (IP) platforms, giving users instant access.

"For over 30 years, 'Sesame Street' has been entertaining and enriching children with programs of unequalled caliber," said Intertainer CEO Jonathan Taplin. "These are programs that parents can trust wholeheartedly and we're very proud to offer them on demand to our digital cable and broadband customers."

Intertainer gains the licensing rights to 21 half-hour Sesame Street episodes and specials, including "The Best of Kermit on Sesame Street," "Cookie Monster's Best Bites," "Getting Ready for School," "Learning to Share" and "The Great Numbers Game." "Sesame Street" programs are designed to prepare children for school by developing the whole child, including cognitive, emotional, physical and social development.
