Warner Home Video (WHV) has promoted Marc Gareton from his most recent position as SVP of Central and South America to SVP of Latin America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Gareton is working at WHV's Burbank, Calif., headquarters and will report directly to WHV president Jim Cardwell.
"Canada is the fourth-largest market in the world, Australia is the leading international DVD territory in terms of hardware penetration by household, and Latin America is a vibrant market becoming more significant with the growing success of DVD," Cardwell said. "Marc will provide excellent leadership in these territories and build on very solid foundations."
Gareton joined WHV in 1995 in a senior marketing position at WHV France. He was then promoted to managing director for Australia and New Zealand, based in Sydney, Australia.
