<I>MulhollandDrive</I> Speeds To Video

Mulholland Drive, which garnered writer/director David Lynch an Academy Award nomination for best director, will street on VHS (priced for rental) and DVD ($24.95 minimum advertised price) April 9, Universal Studios Home Video announced.

The erotically charged thriller was also nominated for four Golden Globe Awards -- best drama, best director, best screenplay and best original score -- and was voted best picture by the National Society of Film Critics, the New York Film Critics Circle, the Boston Society of Film Critics and the Broadcast Film Critics Association.

Lynch was also awarded best director by the Los Angeles Film Critics, the Chicago Film Critics Association, the Boston Society of Film Critics, the New York Film Critics Online, and Screen International, and at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival.

Actress Naomi Watts' work in the film earned her a "Breakthrough Performance of the Year" award from the National Board of Review.
