Image Ups Bill Bromiley3 Apr, 2008 By: Erik Gruenwedel
Image Entertainment Inc. continued its management reorganization by promoting industry veteran Bill Bromiley to the position of chief acquisitions officer.
Bromiley, a 20-year home entertainment executive, was president of First look Home Entertainment for seven years until hired as a consultant by Image last summer.
He joined Chatsworth, Calif.-based Image fulltime in January.
Bromiley will be in charge of upgrading Image's slate of DVD releases through third-party alliances and partnerships. He was instrumental in acquiring DVD and electronic license rights to a series of ThinkFilm titles, including director Sidney Lumet's Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, which streets April 15 on DVD and Blu-ray.
The executive reports to David Borshell, who was earlier named president of Image, replacing Martin Greenwald.
Also promoted was Rick Eiberg, who assumes the position of chief technology officer to go along with previous title, EVP of operations. Eiberg, who joined Image in 2003, reports to CFO Jeffrey Framer.
Finally, Michael Bayer added the title associate general counsel to go along with VP, business and legal affairs. Bayer, who joined Image in 2007, assumes the general counsel duties of Dennis Hohn Cho, who left Image March 31 at the conclusion of his employment contract.
