iLive Proffers Platform

12 Aug, 2002 By: Hive News

iLive Inc. today unveiled a new server-based Media Management Platform designed to track electronic distribution of digital pay-per-view content.

The new platform enables professionals in the film and entertainment community worldwide to maximize profit opportunities by providing an electronic marketplace complete with transactional capabilities and real time tracking for the licensing of filmed entertainment, an iLive spokesperson said.

Established practices of the industry limit rights holders' ability to maximize revenue and reduce costs of distribution due to market inefficiencies. iLive believes the combination of its new media management platform and peer-to-peer distribution could effectively “reinvent the industry'' by providing a more efficient business model.

“This marks another step for iLive in becoming a 'one-stop shop' for online entertainment and closer to being accepted as the standard in pay-per-view distribution among industry professionals,” iLive president Scott Henricks, said. “The platform simplifies the monitoring, tracking and commerce of digital media to the point that rights holders will immediately see the benefits of this new efficient form of content distribution."
