Universal Studios Pay-Per-View (USPPV) is offering a dino-sized promotional campaign in support of its pay-per-view (PPV) and video-on-demand (VOD) exhibition of Jurassic Park III, which premiered Jan. 25.
PPV or VOD customers who order Jurassic Park III, will be eligible to a free 4-foot-wide Dino Chart, not available in stores, which features a comparative size chart of the dinosaurs in the movie. Customers will be required to mail a copy of their cable or satellite bill to show proof of purchase of the film on PPV or VOD.
"Jurassic Park III is the type of action-packed adventure film our audience loves," , said Holly Leff-Pressman, SVP of worldwide pay-per-view and video-on-demand, Universal Studios Television Distribution. "We are delighted to offer our viewers the additional incentive of the exclusive Dino Chart."
The marketing campaign for Jurassic Park III, will feature spot buys on cable networks including USA and TBS, direct mail, radio and a PPV/VOD Web site. Television and radio spots and ad slicks are available for affiliates to customize. The media plan also includes extensive online buys and targeted online marketing via fan sites and news groups. Online elements are offered to affiliates via a hyperlink disk, so they may place further promotional messages on their individual Web sites.
In addition to Jurassic Park III, some PPV distributors will also offer Jurassic Park, with VOD distributors offering all three films in the series. Universal Pictures' and Amblin Entertainment's Jurassic Park III, is the third installment in one of the most successful film franchises in Universal Studios' history.
