Hulu Fills 'Epix' Void

Following quickly on the heels of Netflix’s decision not to renew a content license agreement with Epix, the multi-platform pay-TV service co-owned by Lionsgate, Paramount Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer announced a multiyear digital SVOD deal that will bring new releases to Hulu Plus for the first time beginning Oct. 1.

Vubiquity Acquires Some 'Juice'

Vubiquity Aug. 31 announced the acquisition of Juice Worldwide, a Toronto-based digital content distribution company. The deal makes Vubiquity the first to license and deliver content through every media, including cable, satellite, telecom, wireless and OTT. The company's network of content providers include iTunes, Netflix, Amazon and Google Play. Financial terms were not disclosed.
