Horovitz to Step Down at NARM13 Jun, 2003 By: Hive News
Pamela Horovitz, president of the National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) has announced her resignation effective mid-July. Horovitz has held the position since 1989.
Horovitz is stepping down to become the head of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International, an association serving the bed-and-breakfast industry, according to NARM.
“I look back fondly on my 17 years at NARM, and my 35 years in the music industry,” Horovitz said. “It has been a privilege to do work that I loved with people who so often became friends.”
Horovitz joined NARM in 1985 as director of special projects before being named president. She first entered the music business in 1968 as a record store clerk and then joined Warner/Elektra/Atlantic where she held a number of sales, marketing and promotions positions.
