HIT Entertainment Shows Hit U.K.'s iTunes5 Mar, 2008 By: Chris Tribbey
Episodes of HIT Entertainment's “Barney,” “Bob the Builder,” “Thomas & Friends” and “Captain Pugwash” are all making their way to the United Kingdom's version of Apple iTunes, the company announced March 4.
The half-hour episodes can be viewed on a PC or Mac, iPods, iPhones and Apple TV. The episodes rent for a little less than $3.
“The new HIT TV shows on iTunes present a great opportunity to further extend the reach and distribution of our programming to young fans across the U.K.,” said HIT Entertainment's operations director Ryan Tunstall. “iTunes will sit alongside existing deals with online outlets such as YouTube … .”
