Hart Sharp Takes on 'Baby Road Trip' Series

Hart Sharp Video has signed a distribution deal with award-winning children's DVD producers The Baby Road Trip Co.

Hart Sharp will distribute the first four “Baby Road Trip” releases, starting with Baby Road Trip CITY! and Baby Road Trip BEACH!, which street May 8 (prebook April 10) at $14.95 each.

“The series is great for infants and toddlers,” said Joe Amodei, Hart Sharp Video president. “Each DVD introduces young viewers to a different environment while keeping their attention strong.”

Each DVD takes children on a virtual journey to real-world locations via colorful sights, sounds and upbeat music appropriate to each locale. Visuals combine toys, animation, photography and real-life footage to convey such educational concepts as numbers, counting, colors, shapes, vocabulary, safety and story comprehension.

Baby Road Trip CITY! is a 35-minute trip to the museum, theater, firehouse and the park. Baby Road Trip BEACH! is 30 minutes and exposes children to oceanic imagery such as dolphins and sand toys.

The series has won such awards as the Creative Child Award, Dr. Toy Award, iParenting Media Award, Kids First Endorsement, the Dove Family Seal of Approval, NAPPA Award, the Toy Tips Endorsement and the Telly Awards.
