Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Warner Home Video's Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix and Paramount Home Entertainment's Transformers each received four nominations for The Entertainment Merchants Association's (EMA) Home Entertainment Awards. The winners will be announced June 24 during EMA's Home Media Expo at the Palm Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.
Runners up in nominations are Lionsgate's 3:10 to Yuma and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment's Live Free or Die Hard and The Simpsons Movie, each with three nominations.
“The home entertainment industry has consistently delivered exceptional entertainment at affordable prices which is why DVD remains the most popular way for Americans to view movies,” said EMA president Bo Andersen. “The outstanding content and diversity of DVD product is reflected in this year's nominations, and we congratulate our nominees.”
The nominees consist of 100 nominees across 20 categories. Warner leads the pack with 18 nominations, followed by Paramount Home Entertainment (16), Fox (13), First Look (8), and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, Genius Products and Universal (7 each).
