26 Apr, 2005 By: Brendan Howard

The Southern California theme park Disneyland turns 50 this year, and Buena Vista Home Entertainment July 12 (prebook May 31) has four new releases to please young and old fans of the park and Disney's properties.

Disneyland: The Secrets, Stories and Magic of the Happiest Place on Earth ($19.99) is a brand-new documentary about the history of the park, the alternate park ideas that never came to fruition, and such secrets as Walt's firehouse apartment and Club 33. It also includes a trivia game and sing-along songs.

Vintage Mickey ($19.99) is a feature-length compilation of Mickey's best black-and-white appearances, including the short “Steamboat Willie,” which introduced Mickey and Minnie, and is still being shown in a theater near the front of Disneyland.

Classic “Mickey Mouse Club” fans will get The Best of the Original Mickey Mouse Club. Fans of the newer version of the show will see Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera when they were cast members and not pop superstars in Mickey Mouse Club: The Best of Britney, Justin and Christina. It also includes footage of other cast members, including “Felicity” star Keri Russell, N'Sync singer JC Chasez and The Notebook's Ryan Gosling. Both DVDs are $14.99 each.
