Ground Zero, Spanish Line Inks Partnership

18 Jul, 2002 By: Hive News

Ground Zero Entertainment, the new Latino label headed by ex-Xenon executive Tony Perez, has inked a partnership deal with Diamante Films, one of the largest distributors of Spanish-language films in the country.

“This is the biggest deal Diamante has ever been involved with, and having an established Latino-owned company as a partner can only enhance this venture,” said Danny Rodriquez, director of distribution for Diamante.

During the next two years, Ground Zero will release more than 250 Spanish-language films from Diamante under the Aztlan Media imprint.

They range from comedy and action to drama and classics, and feature such stars as Pedro Infante, Cantinflas, Antonio Aguilar and El Santo.

The inaugural release is an “Aztlan Media Rental Pack,” consisting of 25 films on VHS.

Beginning in November, Aztlan Media releases will be available on DVD, in single and double features.
