Golden Globe Nominated Films on DVD

Julie Christie is up for a Golden Globe for best actress in a drama for Lionsgate's Away From Her.


The 2008 Golden Globe nominees were announced Dec. 13, and many are already out on DVD.

Best dramatic actress nominations went to Julie Christie in Lionsgate's Away From Her and Angelina Jolie in Paramount Home Entertainment's A Mighty Heart.

New Line Home Entertainment's Hairspray had three nominations: Comedy/Musical Feature; Comedy/Musical Actress (Nikki Blonski); Supporting Actor (John Travolta).

Marion Cotillard received a nomination for best Comedy/Musical Actress for her work in HBO Video's La Vie En Rose.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment's Ratatouille and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment's The Simpsons Movie were nominated for the Animated Feature category.

Other films nominated with upcoming street dates are: Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Eastern Promises (Dec. 26), which was nominated for Drama Feature, Drama Actor (Viggo Mortensen) and Original Score (Howard Shore); Universal's Elizabeth: The Golden Age (Feb. 5) for Drama Actress (Cate Blanchett); Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Across the Universe (Feb. 5) for Comedy/Musical Feature; Paramount's Into the Wild (Feb. 12) for Original Score (Michael Brook, Kaki King, Eddie Vedder); and Universal's Lust, Caution (Feb. 19) for Foreign-Language Feature.
