Gigex Launches Video Ad Service

18 Nov, 2002 By: Hive News

Internet launch, distribution and fulfillment service Gigex, Inc. has launched the Gigex Advertising Service for entertainment video and software designed to reach young male entertainment consumers before, during and after their Web experience.

Gigex has strategic relationships with 75 online affiliate partners including Yahoo, MSN and Excite and claims to reach 26 million unique monthly visitors. The company also has distribution agreements with a variety of lifestyle sites attractive to young adult males and the "tweens-to-teens” market.”

Bob Huseby, a 12-year advertising sales executive with an advertising background at companies including LookSmart and Cnet has joined Gigex as advertising director to head up the advertising program.

"As Web advertising has matured over the years, demographic targeting has become essential to successful marketing campaigns," he said. "Recent Gigex advertising results with brand name consumer marketing companies have proven the effectiveness of companies directly targeting the young male entertainment consumer between the ages 17 and 34 -– a difficult demographic to reach in any medium."

"We are pleased that a veteran advertising sales executive has joined our team," said Gigex CEO, Mark Friedler. "Bob has a successful track record of creating and delivering targeted ad opportunities for major brand advertisers that have delivered results to hard to reach audiences."
