George Foreman Joins Fight for Fitness

GoodTimes Home Entertainment has teamed up with boxing legend George Foreman for a new series of fitness titles.

The first two releases — Walk It Off With George: Walk and Box and Walk It Off With George: Circuit Walk —street Dec. 14 on VHS ($12.95) and DVD ($19.95) or in a two-pack with both titles ($29.95 DVD, $19.95 VHS).

The Foreman titles will get the classic GoodTimes infomercial treatment with a $500,000-per-week direct-response marketing campaign timed to the release and a multimillion-dollar ad spend on print, TV and radio.

Foreman is no stranger to product endorsement, with more than 40 million of his George Foreman grills sold in the marketplace.

Meanwhile, GoodTimes is pumping plenty of other heavy-hitting fitness product into the all-important fourth-quarter market with the latest from walking-workout guru Leslie Sansone. Walk Away the Pounds: Power Mile, Walk Away the Pounds: Walk and Jog and Walk Away the Pounds: Walk and Kick arrive Nov. 30 on DVD ($14.95) and VHS ($9.95) or in a three-pack at $24.95 VHS and $39.95 DVD.

And two new “Tae Bo” titles are set for a Dec. 7 release. Billy Blanks Tae Bo Foundation & Energy and Tae Bo: Power & Strength are available individually on DVD ($19.95) and VHS ($12.95) or in a two-pack priced at $24.95 on DVD and $19.95 on VHS. A slightly pricier two-pack that also includes Tae Bo resistance balls is priced at $29.95 on DVD and $24.95 on VHS.

Also streeting Dec. 7 are three titles from “The Firm” workout series: Express Cardio; Hips, Thighs & Abs and Power Yoga, all priced at $14.95 DVD and $9.95 VHS.
