Fox Brings Guy Flicks to D-VHS

26 Feb, 2004 By: Holly J. Wagner

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will give cassette viewers an extra ration of action with D-VHS when Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World sails in April 20 (prebook March 24).

Two other titles arrive in D-VHS the same day: the courtroom thriller Runaway Jury and the classic Western buddy flick Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Each of the titles will sell at $34.98 on D-VHS, which includes the D-Theater platform for high-definition home systems and its encrypted protection system. Each film is presented in its widescreen aspect ratio; Master and Commander and Runaway Jury also include Dolby 5.1 digital sound, and Jury will come in with a Dolby Surround 2.0 option as well.
