HBO's 'Game of Thrones: The Complete Fourth Season' scored the top spot on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray unit sales, and the dedicated Blu-ray sales chart the week ended Feb. 22. Universal's 'Lucy' topped the rental chart.

Home Entertainment Accounts for 95% of DreamWorks Animation Q4 Film Revenue

Packaged-media and electronic-distribution revenue from 'How to Train Your Dragon 2,' 'Mr. Peabody & Sherman,' 'Turbo,' 'The Croods' and related catalog combined for $124.4 million — or 95% of DWA’s $131.3 million in feature film segment revenue for the fourth-quarter (ended Dec. 31, 2014).

Weak Release Slate Drops Anchor Bay Q4 Results

Starz Distribution Feb. 25 reported that subsidiary Anchor Bay Entertainment generated fourth-quarter (ended Dec. 31, 2014) home video revenue of $39.5 million, which was down 28% ($15.3 million) from revenue of $54.8 million during the previous-year period.

Nickelodeon Launching Preschool SVOD Service for Mobile Devices

As expected, Nickelodeon Feb. 25 unveiled “Noggin,” a mobile subscription streaming service for preschoolers. Available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch starting March 5, the service will be ad-free and offered for $5.99 a month. Nickelodeon is also in discussions with pay-TV distributors about offering the service as a premium add-on to authenticated subscribers.
