Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the No. 2 box office grosser from 2005, is coming to home video March 7.
Warner Home Video is releasing two DVD editions of the film: a $28.98 single-disc version with no extras, and a $30.97 two-disc set with additional scenes, cast and crew interviews, behind-the-scenes featurettes and DVD-ROM content. Pre-order date is Jan. 24.
A UMD version of Goblet for PlayStation Portable also hits shelves March 7, at $22.95.
Based on the popular books from J.K. Rowling, the films chronicle the progression of young Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe, as he learns the ways of wizardry at Hogwarts Academy. In Goblet, the fourth installment, Harry finds himself confronting dragons, water demons and an enchanted maze as he represents Hogwarts in the Triwizard Tournament. As the young characters deal with the challenges of growing up, a dark lord prepares to rise again.
The most critically acclaimed of the four “Harry Potter” films, Goblet has earned $281.9 million in theaters since its Nov. 18 debut and was the first Warner Bros. film to make more than $100 million in its opening weekend.
The film is rated PG-13 for fantasy violence and disturbing images.
The latest re-released DVD gift set of the entire series, Harry Potter: Years 1-4, also streets March 7, at $73.92, and features the special edition of Goblet.
