Four retailers have qualified to run as candidates for two available seats in the upcoming election to the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA) board of directors, the organization reported today.
The candidates are: Dave Batten, Premieres Video, Wake Forest, N.C.; Ross Flint, Video Station Superstore, Taylor, Texas; Terri Schumacher, Video Village, Mount Vernon, Iowa; and Todd Zaganiacz, Video Zone, South Deerfield, Mass.
Nominations were closed Monday. Terms for the newly elected board members will be for three years, beginning July.
Ballots describing each nominee will be mailed to all regular VSDA members whose dues are paid up on or before May 15, a spokesperson said. Biographical information and candidate statements will be posted on the VSDA Web site May 1 and will also be published in VSDA's monthly online newsletter in May.
Ballots must be returned on or before June 17. The VSDA has hired an independent accounting firm to receive and manage the ballot counting process. Results of the election will be announced shortly after June 17, the spokesperson said.
