First Look Goes Green18 Dec, 2007 By: Chris Tribbey
First Look Studios has gone green.
The New York-based company and Shorewood Packaging are working on a program that will plant enough trees to offset the emissions generated by the production of 1 million DVD packages.
“At First Look, we are focused on more than just profits,” said First Look COO Dean Wilson. “This initiative is extremely important to the studio and our staff.”
Also, First Look announced it is using Shorewood's 100% recycled packaging for all its screeners, and is reducing its paper usage by printing marketing materials directly on the screener cases. The company also is distributing recycling instructions to consumers with its final DVD products.
