Film Movement, a New York-based independent and foreign-film distributor, together with sponsor Stella Artois has launched the Film Festival Channel, a nationwide, free video-on-demand channel.
Film Festival Channel, or FFC, will feature award-winning independent and foreign films from such festivals as Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Berlin, Sundance, SXSW and Tribeca. It will be carried by Cox Communications, Verizon FiOS TV, Comcast Washington State Market, Mediacom, Armstrong and Bresnan Communications.
The channel will start with more than 100 films in its catalog, with more to follow. Every month the channel will feature four feature-length films and four short films. Initial titles will include Alexandra's Project(from Australia); Hawaii, Oslo (from Norway); and The Middle of the World (from Brazil).
