Film Movement Loads Cult Film 'Choking Man'

21 Jul, 2008 By: Thomas K. Arnold

Indie film distributor Film Movement Aug. 5 will release on DVD the cult classic Choking Man, from British music video director Steve Barron. The drama tells the story of a young Ecuadorian immigrant battling his inner demons on the streets of Queens. Barron is best known for such groundbreaking 1980s music videos as Dire Straits' “Money for Nothing” and Michael Jackson's “Billy Jean.” All Film Movement releases come with a short film bonus; accompanying Choking Man is “The Boy With No Name,” from the United Kingdom.
