Fans Can See <I>Signs</I> Jan. 7

Home video audiences will get their chance to see the Signs Jan. 7, when the third film from M. Knight Shaymalan arrives on DVD ($29.99) and VHS ($22.99).

The $223-milion box office sleeper from Buena Vista Home Entertainment stars Mel Gibson in a tale of a man and his family coming to grips with their faith in the wake of an extraordinary event.

The DVD will include a heap of special features, including “Looking for Signs,” a diary about writing the script; commentary features with Shaymalan, composer James Newton Howard and the storyboard and previz artists; a tour of the Industrial Light & Magic facility showing the steps involved in creating the special effects; deleted scenes; and story reels with multi-angle features.

Prebook dates are Nov. 12 for direct orders and Nov. 26 for distributors.
