TV site Fancast.com is launching a nationwide advertising campaign via television and online media to promote the site’s growing offerings of repurposed TV shows online.
The campaign is dubbed “See It for Yourself” and is designed to drive TV viewers to the thousands of hours television on Fancast. In addition to more than 10,000 hours of video programming, Fancast includes blogs, listings, slideshows and Q&As.
The tongue-in-cheek ads use verbal recap reports from friends, colleagues and strangers to show that nothing replaces watching the show firsthand. Online, the campaign also uses cliffhanger video banners to drive traffic to the site.
Fancast.com offers TV shows from networks such as CBS, NBC, Fox, A&E, VH1 and others, as well as several full movies from various genres.
