Entertainment Rights Gets 'Transformers'6 Dec, 2007 By: Chris Tribbey
Entertainment Rights has nabbed the Latin America distribution rights to the new “Transformers” animated series.
The U.K. company will distribute 26 regular episodes and a 70-minute feature after the series debuts in the United States in early 2008.
“We are delighted to extend our distribution rights to Latin America for ‘Transformers Animated,’ said Chloe van den Berg, director of international entertainment rights for the company. “Transformers is an extremely successful global property, and ER has already had considerable success in securing premier television platforms in key territories around the world for this exciting franchise.”
The next-generation animation of the battling robots saga is being developed by Cartoon Network Studios.
