Empty Gallery Warehouse Sold

13 Aug, 2007 By: John Latchem

An empty warehouse originally built as a Movie Gallery distribution center in Alabama was sold to an investment group Aug. 1.

The 190,000-square-foot warehouse was built for the No. 2 video rental chain in 2004 but was never used. The sale comes as Movie Gallery faces insolvency.

The warehouse was purchased by DDCU Investments LLC, according to filings at the probate office in Houston County, Ala. The seller was listed as the Industrial Development Board of Dothan, and a purchase price was undisclosed.
