Edge of Tomorrow 'Edge of Tomorrow' Battles to Top of Disc Sales Charts

Warner's time-bending sci-fi war movie 'Edge of Tomorrow' jumped to the top of the national home video sales charts for the week ended Oct. 12, pushing Paramount's 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' to No. 2. The 'Transformers' film did hold its spot atop the rental chart for a second week.

HBO to Launch Standalone Domestic OTT Video in 2015

HBO has launched a major shot across the bow of the subscription streaming market — specifically Netflix. After much speculation, HBO will finally launch a standalone over-the-top video service not requiring a cable/satellite/telecom subscription in the United States in 2015, CEO Richard Plepler told an investor group in New York.
