ECVS Organizers Consider Moving Show to D.C.16 Dec, 2003 By: Stephanie Prange
East Coast Video Show producers are looking at Washington D.C., Oct. 5-7, 2004, for the next installment of the show.
The annual show has been held in Atlantic City, N.J., for the past 14 years.
Show management is also looking at rebranding the event into an East Coast DVD Retail Summit & Exposition, according to a source.
During this year's show, organizers were already discussing a move. Florida was one location discussed at the time.
“We need to freshen the show and provide closer access to additional retailers,” Bo Andersen, president of the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA), told Video Store Magazine at this year's event.
The VSDA puts on the show in partnership with Advanstar Communications. Advanstar also owns Video Store Magazine.
