Dolby Offers Guide on Upgrading to HD12 Jun, 2008 By: Billy Gil
Dolby Laboratories is making available a guide to connecting to high-definition services, called “HD Essentials: Get in the Middle of the HD Action.” It's available at www.dolby.com/hdguide.
The guide is meant to help consumers with buying decisions, such as selecting the right speakers for a surround sound system within a budget.
“What we need to remember is that audio is a large part of the experience,” said John Griffin, marketing director, Dolby Laboratories. “With great surround sound, movies like the ‘Harry Potter' series or Transformers leap off the TV. For anyone who experiences the amazing quality of today's entertainment in the right setting, and who wants to have a great setup for their home, it's possible with just a few essential components: an HDTV display and HD service, a surround-sound system and some great HD entertainment.”
