DIC DVDs Packed in Cereal Boxes

1 Jun, 2004 By: Angelique Flores

DIC Entertainment has teamed up with General Mills to offer free collectible DVDs featuring some of its most popular children's characters in cereal boxes. The DVD promotion will be comprised of episodes and shorts featured on five separate DVD collectibles: Strawberry Shortcake and Madeline, Liberty's Kids, Inspector Gadget and Gadget Boy, Sabrina: The Animated Series and Super Mario Bros. and Heathcliff.

Slated to run from June through August 2004, while supplies last, the DVDs will be included in 10 million specially marked boxes of Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Golden Grahams, Corn Chex and Rice Chex cereals.

General Mills is the perfect vehicle to bring DIC's animated properties on DVD to households across the United States, said Jedd Gold, director of brand marketing and promotions, DIC Entertainment, in a statement.
