Diamond Pursues Replication Deals22 Apr, 2002 By: Hive News
Diamond Entertainment Corp. e-DMEC, a budget home videotape and DVD supplier, is launching what executives call “an aggressive marketing plan” to expand its tape and DVD contract duplication service business.
The company recently completed an in-house vertical integration of its videocassette production line, and is ready to implement its full-scale strategy to build market share in service businesses. Diamond executives expect savings in excess of $120,000 a year from gains in efficiency, improved manufacturing costs and product turnaround.
“With the recent addition of high-speed video duplication sprinters and packaging equipment, we are now ready to go out on a full scale to solicit additional service business,” said Co-CEO Jeffrey Schillen. “We are confident we can deliver fast turnaround time, good quality and friendly service at a very competitive price. This additional business will have a positive contribution to our bottom line and we are committed to grow this segment of our business to a level of significance.”
