DEG Honors DVDs and Retailers

The Incredibles was named Theatrical DVD Title of the Year by DEG.


DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group feted retailers, studios and hardware manufacturers at its annual industry awards at the Consumer Electronics Show last week in Las Vegas.

DEG members voted Best Buy Retailer of the Year for Hardware for the second year in a row, while Target Stores was voted Retailer of the Year for Software. Target was commended by the DEG for its marketing, merchandising and promotion of DVD titles. Meanwhile, Best Buy was recognized for its continued leadership in educating consumers about new entertainment technology.

The DEG also unveiled the DEG Emiel N. Petrone Digital Innovation Awards in memory of the DEG's founding chairman. A panel of DVD reviewers and reporters selected the year's best DVDs.
