DEG to Hold Green Media Summit31 Jan, 2008 By: Chris Tribbey
DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group will hold a Green Media Summit on April 2, intended to give the home entertainment industry insight on how it can be more environmentally friendly.
”We need to make certain we deliver the content — be it physical or digital media — in an eco-friendly manner that is respectful of the environment,” said Bob Chapek, DEG chairman and president of Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. “Now, more than ever, we need to work together to find solutions that help us watchdog ourselves into making a cleaner, greener world.”
The event is co-produced by Entertainment Supply Chain Academy (ESCA) and sponsored by Capgemini, with Reed Business Information as DEG's media partner.
“The home entertainment community plans to accelerate its leadership in adopting environmental best practices and the Green Summit is where our industry will gather for the first time to exchange market intelligence and develop a collaborative game plan,” said DEG Executive Director Amy Jo Smith.
