“Danger Rangers,” the animated television series designed to entertain, educated and empower children in the areas of safety and well-being, is coming to DVD.
The 2005 TV series, which features the voice of Mark Hamill (Star Wars), among others, is the flagship brand of Charlotte, N.C.-based Educational Adventures.
The company March 19 inked a distribution deal with Thomas Nelson Family Entertainment, the children's division of Nashville, Tenn.-based Thomas Nelson Inc., to distribute four DVD titles to more than 1,500 Christian bookstores and inspirational retailers nationwide.
The DVDs slated to release in April include Mission 547: Safety Rules, Water Works, Wild Wheels, and Fires and Liars.
Each disc will include animated menus, surround sound, interactive games, additional downloadable content, supplementary scripture lesson and an introduction letter from Dr. John Trent, founder of Christian-based Center for Strong Families.
The award-winning “Danger” series currently is shown on public television, the American Armed Forces Network and select cable networks.
“Thomas Nelson is recognized as the preeminent distribution force serving the vibrant and exciting Christian marketplace,” said Mike Moore, CEO of Educational Adventures. “We look forward to a long and successful partnership with this extraordinary company, which has earned an industry-wide reputation for placing family values at the top of their priorities.”
