Comcast Launches ¡Sorpresa!

Comcast has launched Juniper Content Corp.'s ¡Sorpresa!, a Spanish-language children's network based in Santa Maria, Calif., which has a large Hispanic market.

The channel is now offered as part of Comcast's Hispanic digital tier. ¡Sorpresa! aims to educate and entertain children ages 2-17 with in-culture original programming.

¡Sorpresa! will be available through Comcast, Cablevision, Charter Communications, Cox Communications, Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS, participating National Cable TV Cooperative systems and in Puerto Rico on Liberty Cable Systems, Choice Cable and OneLink. The content also will be available through mobile providers MobiTV, which provides Spanish-language content to Alltel Wireless, AT&T and Sprint; Brightcove, the exclusive video broadband player to www.sorpresatv.com; and through VOD companies Akimbo and AT&T Homezone.
