Clickstar Announces First Film For Early Digital Download

9 Jan, 2006 By: Kurt Indvik

ClickStar Inc., the joint venture between Intel and Revelations Entertainment, announced last week at the Consumer Electronics Show it is preparing production of its first feature film, 10 Items or Less, which will be delivered via broadband to consumers' PCs a few weeks after its theatrical bow.

Shooting on the film, which stars Morgan Freeman and Paz Vega (Spanglish), begins next month.

The announcement was made by Intel chairman and CEO Paul Otellini during his keynote address at CES. He was joined onstage by Morgan and Lori McCreary, founding partners of Revelations. McCreary also acts as chairman of ClickStar.

The company said it will target millions of broadband consumers worldwide using Intel Viiv technology-based PCs.

“The announcement of 10 Items or Less and the plan to deliver it through the broadband into the living room just weeks after the movie's theatrical release marks a key milestone in the vision we outlined just two short years ago at CES,” said Otellini.
