CBS Brand Channel Bows on YouTube

CBS Corp. Oct. 18 launched CBS Brand Channel on video networking site YouTube Inc.

The content and advertising partnership between CBS and YouTube, the latter set to be acquired by search behemoth Google Inc., marks the latest effort by CBS to repurpose content across multiple distribution channels.

The CBS Brand Channel initially will include clips from “The Late Show With David Letterman,” “The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson,” “NCIS” and “CSI: Miami,” in addition to archived footage from NCAA Division I men's basketball championships, and “CBS News First Look With Katie Couric.”

Future CBS entertainment clips include “Survivor,” “CSI,” “CSI: NY,” “Jericho” and “Numb3rs.” Additional CBS News features include short videos from “CBS Evening News With Katie Couric,” “The Early Show” and “48 Hours.”

CBS Sports offers analysis of college and professional sports, as well as programming from CSTV (College Sports TV). Showtime Networks features promotional video clips from acclaimed original series “Dexter,” “Brotherhood<” “Sleeper Cell” and “The L Word.”
