Buy.com's Relaunches Redesigned Site With Shopping-Spree Contest, Low Prices

Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based online retailer Buy.com Inc. said Monday it had relaunched its redesigned Web site with a $5,000 shopping spree contest.

Buy.com's redesigned site and contest anchor its fourth-quarter marketing campaign touting the site's return to the "Lowest Prices on Earth."

Underscoring its "Lowest Prices on Earth" theme, Buy.com will post low prices on the "Price Mistake of the Day" promotion.

Buy.com also offers a low-price guarantee matching online competitors' prices if the Buy.com price is not already lower.

"We want to give our customers the best deals on the Internet," said Robert R. Price, president of Buy.com. "Our new Web site andmarketing campaign communicate our intention of making Buy.com the number onechoice for online shoppers for everything from computerhardware to DVDs."

Buy.com's $5,000 shoppingspree contest will run until mid October. One winner will be chosen. Customers enter the contest on the site.
