Broadcom Develops HD DVR Chip for China

Semiconductor company Broadcom Corp. announced March 21 that it has developed the first high-definition digital video recorder chip for the Chinese market.

The Broadcom BCM7403, developed in conjunction with Coship Electronics Co LTD, provides high-def capability for satellite, cable and Internet TV companies to create digital video set-top boxes that can record high-def in China.
