British Invasion: 'BritBox' SVOD Service Launches in the U.S.

BBC Worldwide and ITV have quietly launched BritBox, a subscription-streaming platform, in the United States. The $6.99 monthly service (with a free seven-day trial) is available online, and on iOS and Android devices. It will be available on Roku and Google Chromecast in the future.

Sling TV March 9 formally launched a cloud-based DVR service, dubbed ‘First Look.' For an additional $5 monthly fee, the service affords subscribers 50 hours of content storage regardless of the programming plan.

Amazon Prime Video Gets TNT Series 'Animal Kingdom'

Amazon March 9 announced it has acquired exclusive rights to the first season of TNT’s “Animal Kingdom,” which will begin streaming on Prime Video April 30. The second season of the crime drama begins its broadcast run May 30.
