12 Jul, 2007 By: Erik Gruenwedel

Sales of flat panel televisions, MP3 players, video game hardware and accessories, combined with strong grocery revenue, helped Wal-Mart Stores up June revenues 7% to $22.9 billion, compared to $21.4 billion during the same period last year.

Same-store sales (open at least 12 months) increased 1.6%, compared to 1.3% last year.

Company officials said high gasoline prices continue to hamper discretionary spending.
