BlueLight.com has expanded its Music and Movie stores to feature more than 65,000 CD, DVD and VHS titles.
Complementing a massive catalogue of titles, the site added new features to help shoppers make informed choices about music and movies, including streaming video, audio and jukeboxes; entertainment industry news, feature articles; and other information on artists, movies and new releases.
The new BlueLight.com Movie Store offers a virtual library of film facts, plot summaries and information about actors, directors, and producers. The store also lets customers search by title, actor, director, format and genre.
To celebrate the opening of the BlueLight.com Movie Store, cinema buffs will find promotions and gift-with-purchase opportunities such as buy a copy of Pearl Harbor and get a free Pearl Harbor baseball cap.
The Music store offers new features like ``listen before buying'' with free sound samples and song previews, reviews, a video and audio jukebox and interactive ratings. Users may also preorder new.
With the launch of the new Music store, BlueLight.com is also offering a number of autographed giveaways, exclusive releases and other promotions, buy a copy of Jewel's latest album "This Way" and get a signed version of the CD while supplies last. Handleman Online will host the movies and music stores Web site for BlueLight.com, providing merchandising services for this portion of the site and provide consumer fulfillment for the over 65,000 CD, DVD, and VHS titles. The number of titles is expected to double in the coming months, a spokesman says.
