Blu-ray Roadshow to Highlight Media Tech Expo23 Apr, 2008 By: Chris Tribbey
Sony DADC's Blu-ray Disc Roadshow will be front and center May 6-8 at the Media-Tech Expo in Frankfurt, Germany.
The educational demonstrations will offer a side-by-side comparison of standard DVD versus Blu-ray, and a look at the interactive features of Blu-ray.
“The Roadshow is designed to be more educational and entertaining than technical, and will involve a number of demonstrations,” said Dietmar Fischerlehner, director of engineering for Sony DADC in Anif, Austria.
“It is important for everyone in the industry to really understand not just how to make Blu-ray, but what it can do, and what it can offer the consumers,” said Bryan Ekus, managing director of the Media-Tech Association. “They have to be convinced that it is worth investing in a new format. We need to be able to show them that BD provides stunning audio and visual quality, as well offering virtually limitless opportunities to interact with content. We are delighted that Sony DADC will be bringing its Roadshow to Expo 2008.”
