Blockbuster In-Store Trading Promotions End Soon26 Oct, 2004 By: Holly J. Wagner
Blockbuster Video's bonus bounty for folks who trade in their DVDs and games for store credit is winding down.
The chain, which trades with consumers at 3,000 domestic stores and plans to offer trading in 5,000 stores by the middle of next year, offers a minimum of $5 store credit for the movie titles it buys, but has been offering a minimum of $8 through Nov. 1.
The chain is also offering an extra $5 each for games when the customer brings in any three on the major platforms: Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube and GameBoy Advance. That deal ends Nov. 8.
For those who prefer to do their business online, Big Blue has a free copy of Shrek 2 waiting for anyone who signs up for Blockbuster online in time to redeem their e-coupons by Dec. 5.
