Citing ongoing organizational restructuring, Blockbuster Inc. Monday announced it had fired longtime London-based executive Christopher Wyatt, EVP of international operations.
Wyatt, whose employment contract will be terminated June 30, 2007, is expected to assist through the end of the year with the transition of his duties to Dallas-based Nicholas Shepherd, EVP and president of Blockbuster North America.
Wyatt is slated to receive his salary and bonus compensation for up to 18 months after the termination date.
The 49-year-old Wyatt, whose annual base salary in 2005 exceeded $616,000, served as EVP and president, international, since 2001. He cashed out more than $143,000 in stock options last December.
Blockbuster reports second-quarter (ended June 30) fiscal year 2006 results July 27.
