Best Buy Hires CRM Honcho

Best Buy has brought Tony H. Hart on board as v.p. of Enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM. In this newly created position, Hart will be responsible for developing and driving the Enterprise CRM strategy across all Best Buy business units.

``Tony brings to Best Buy career-long experience in the development of CRM strategies, customer database-driven marketing programs, frequency and loyalty programs and multi-channel sales and service systems,'' said Best Buy e.v.p. of Strategic Planning George Lopuch. ``He will be working with a companywide, cross-functional team in the pursuit of realizing a best-in-class retail CRM vision. We believe this development of a world class CRM competency throughout the enterprise is core to our goal of consumer centricity.''

Prior to joining Best Buy, Hart was an executive strategist with Accenture in the firm's Customer Relationship Management service line. With WPP Group, Hart served as s.v.p. and chief strategist, working with RTC Relationship Marketing, J. Walter Thompson Advertising and Hill and Knowlton Public Relations to integrate their services in the delivery of CRM strategies and programs for numerous domestic and international clients. His expansive business experience also includes strategic planning and management roles at Avon Products, Inc. Carlson Companies, Fingerhut Corp. and Targetbase Marketing Group.
