Best Buy Adds Product Reviews to Web Site

17 May, 2007 By: Billy Gil

Best Buy has struck a partnership with Common Sense Media, a non-profit organization that provides parents with media-management tools, to add helpful buying information to BestBuy.com for parents purchasing video games for their children.

Best Buy is the first major retailer to add Common Sense Media reviews, content descriptions and user comments as an online shopping tool. Initially the reviews will focus on video games, but movie reviews also are planned.

“At Best Buy we understand the importance of giving customers clear and accurate information to help them make good decisions about the video games they buy,” said Jill Hamburger, VP of entertainment at Best Buy. “The information from Common Sense Media provides guidance about both the content of a game and its entertainment value.”
